Complex Care
Specialised, safe and dignified support for people with high and complex needs
About Our Complex Care Services.
At Empowering Connection, we specialise in supporting people with complex physical, behavioural and health-related needs. Our Complex Care team works closely with clinicians, guardians, families and the participant themselves to ensure every support is delivered safely, respectfully and in line with best-practice clinical guidelines.
Our complex care supports include:
Support for Dual Diagnoses
Dual diagnosis refers to the experience of both disability and mental health challenges, and we offer integrated support that considers the full picture of a person’s needs.
High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA)
High-intensity personal activities involve complex daily care tasks, and we provide skilled, reliable support to ensure these needs are met safely and respectfully.
Seizure Management and Positive Behaviour Support
Seizure management involves recognising and responding to seizure activity, while positive behaviour support focuses on reducing behaviours of concern; we provide both using evidence-based, person-centred strategies.
PEG Feeding, Cowel Care & Catheter Care
These are specialised clinical care tasks that support essential bodily functions, and our team is trained to deliver PEG feeding, bowel care, and catheter management with precision and comfort.
Medication Administration and Health-Monitoring
This includes safely giving prescribed medications and tracking vital health indicators, which we manage carefully to support wellbeing and early intervention.
Trauma-Informed Approaches for Forensic & Child Protection Pathways
This involves understanding the impact of trauma within forensic or child-protection systems, and we use trauma-informed practice to provide safe, stabilising, and respectful support.
Dependable Care Backed by Experience and Stability.
We provide dependable 24/7 support with a strong focus on safety, dignity, continuity, and clear communication. Empowering Connection is trusted across South Australia for our ability to work alongside people who require experienced, stable, and consistent support teams, ensuring they feel supported and understood every step of the way.
