Expert Support to Stabilise Complex Situations and Coordinate Safe, Effective Services.
Specialist Support Coordination is designed for participants with more complex needs or high-risk situations. Our team provides intensive support to navigate challenging circumstances, coordinate multiple providers, and ensure your supports are safe, effective, and aligned with your goals. We work closely with participants, families, and providers to manage risks, resolve conflicts, and advocate for high-quality services tailored to your unique needs.
About Specialist Support Coordination
Specialist Support Coordination is a higher-level NDIS support for participants who face significant barriers due to complex health needs, challenging behaviours, unstable housing, forensic involvement, or coordination across multiple services. A Specialist Support Coordinator works intensively to manage risks, stabilise situations, and put safe, sustainable supports in place. They bring providers together, resolve barriers, develop crisis plans, and ensure every service is working effectively to support the participant’s safety and long-term stability.

FAQ’s
-
Specialist Support Coordination handles more complex situations, higher-risk needs, and intensive advocacy, whereas standard Support Coordination focuses on routine planning and coordination.
-
Funding is listed in your NDIS plan under “Specialist Support Coordination.” Our team can assist you in understanding your eligibility and maximising this support.
-
Yes. Some participants have both types of coordination in their NDIS plan. Standard Support Coordination helps manage day-to-day supports and link you with services, while Specialist Support Coordination provides intensive support for complex, high-risk, or high-need situations. Having both allows participants to receive the right level of guidance and oversight depending on their needs.
-
If your needs increase or your situation becomes more complex, a Specialist Support Coordinator can step in to provide higher-level guidance, risk management, and advocacy.
