Individualized Living Options (ILO)
Individualised Living Options (ILO) are flexible arrangements that give you more choice and control over how you live. Whether that’s living with a chosen housemate, in a host arrangement, or independently with community support — ILO is all about building a sustainable and safe living environment that reflects your lifestyle and values.
We support you through both ILO stages: Exploration and Design (Capacity Building), where we help you figure out what type of living setup works best for you; and Implementation (Core Supports), where we help put it all in place. This includes developing service agreements, safeguarding plans, support networks, and matching staff.
ILO can be used for:
Co-designing a housing arrangement with family or friends
Developing safety and support plans for semi-independent living
Training chosen housemates or hosts to support your needs
Monitoring informal and formal supports over time
Maximising your autonomy with supported decision-making
How this links to the Connect + Thrive Framework: ILO supports your ability to build a living situation based on trust, inclusion, and personal values — helping you thrive within your chosen lifestyle and connect deeply with your home and support network.
