Psychosocial Recovery Coaching is an NDIS support tailored to individuals living with mental health challenges. It merges the role of a support coordinator with the knowledge and skills of a mental health specialist, focusing on recovery and capacity building. This support is designed for people who want more than just service connection—they want a partner in their recovery journey.
Recovery Coaches work collaboratively with you, your support networks, and health professionals to develop a recovery-enabling relationship. Together, you create and work through a recovery plan based on your personal goals, strengths, and aspirations. These might include reconnecting with friends, improving your living situation, or developing a daily routine.
Unlike traditional support roles, Recovery Coaches provide regular coaching sessions, helping you to navigate systems, manage challenges, and take steps forward. They can also advocate for your needs in service planning and problem-solving when things get complicated or feel overwhelming.
At Empowering Connection, our Recovery Coaches use trauma-informed, person-centred approaches to ensure participants feel heard and supported. Our Connect + Thrive philosophy ensures that mental health recovery is not just about managing symptoms—it’s about rediscovering purpose, connection, and community belonging.
