โ NDIS ยท High intensity supports and community nursing
skilled care with dignity
Skilled support for complex health and personal care needs, from trained support workers and our nursing team, at home and in the community.
What is it?
complex care?
Complex care is support for health and personal care needs that need extra training, like bowel care, feeding tubes, diabetes management or seizure support. The NDIS calls these High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA). Our team is led by a Registered Nurse and trained in these supports.
We work with your doctors, allied health team and behaviour support practitioners to write a care plan that puts you first. Complex care and community nursing are available across Victor Harbor, Port Elliot, Middleton, Mount Compass and Strathalbyn.
This may suit you if you:
โ Have complex health or personal care needs
โ Need support from workers with specific clinical training
โ Are coming home from hospital and need extra support
โ Want skilled care that still feels personal
What we do

FAQs
questions
What does high intensity mean?
The NDIS calls some supports high intensity because the worker needs specific training to do them safely. Examples are complex bowel care, enteral feeding, tracheostomy care, ventilation, subcutaneous injections and seizure management.
Who will provide my care?
Support workers trained and assessed in your specific supports, guided by our Lead Registered Nurse and your care plan.
Do you provide community nursing?
Yes. Our nurses can provide nursing care at home and in the community, depending on your needs and your NDIS plan.
How is complex care funded?
Usually through Assistance with Daily Life in your Core Supports, at the high intensity rate. Some disability-related health supports may also be funded. We'll help you check your plan.
