What this policy

means for you

Person-centred supports

You can access supports that promote, uphold and respect your legal and human rights. You're supported to make informed choices and have control, and your right to freedom of expression, self-determination and decision-making is respected.

Your values and beliefs

Your supports respect your culture, diversity, values and beliefs. Your autonomy is respected, including your right to intimacy and sexual expression.

Privacy and dignity

Your supports respect and protect your dignity and your right to privacy.

Independence and informed choice

You're supported to make informed choices, exercise control and be as independent as possible in the supports you receive.

Freedom from harm

You have the right to supports that are free from violence, abuse, neglect, exploitation or discrimination.

Who and what it applies to

All supports and services we provide, and everyone who works with us, including directors, management, workers, contractors and volunteers.
