What is it?

in home support?

In Home Support is help from a support worker with the things you do every day, in your own home. That might be getting ready in the morning, cooking dinner, keeping on top of the washing, or getting to an appointment. It's funded through the Core Supports in your NDIS plan.

We support people across Victor Harbor, Port Elliot, Middleton and Mount Compass. You can use In Home Support whether you live on your own, with family or with housemates. We'll help with what you need, and support you to do more for yourself if that's your goal.

This may suit you if you:

Personal care

Compassionate, respectful help with showering, dressing, grooming and daily routines, supporting your independence and wellbeing.

Continence care

Discreet, respectful continence support that looks after your comfort, health and dignity.

Meals and shopping

Meal planning, grocery shopping and preparing nutritious meals, always with your preferences and routines in mind.

Cleaning and laundry

Help keeping your home clean, comfortable and just the way you like it, from vacuuming to laundry and tidying.

Transport

Safe, reliable transport to appointments, community activities and more, so you stay connected and in control of your week.

Building your skills

Support to learn and practise everyday skills at your own pace, so you can do more for yourself.

Who will

support you?

You'll be matched with trained support workers whose experience fits your needs, goals and interests. We focus on consistency, so you see familiar faces you know and trust, and you always have a say in who supports you.

We'll get to know your routines and preferences, so support feels natural and never rushed.

Common

questions

What can a support worker help me with at home?

Things like showering, dressing and grooming, preparing meals, cleaning, laundry, shopping and getting to appointments. We build your support around what you want help with, not a set list.

How much support can I get?

That depends on what's in your NDIS plan. Some people have a couple of hours a week, others have support every day. We'll work out a roster that fits your funding and your routine.

Can I choose my support worker?

Yes. We'll match you with workers who suit your needs and interests, and you always have a say. If something isn't working, tell us and we'll change it.

What if I need more support at home?

If you need help through most of the day or overnight, Supported Independent Living (SIL) may be a better fit. We can talk you through your options.
